About

Security decisions
you can defend.

A specialist protective security firm for organisations and major projects. We work across threat intelligence, risk and threat analysis, crime prevention, protective engineering, and assurance: for the executives who carry the accountability, and the teams delivering the places.

Why Core42

Security decisions you can defend

$80Bn+

Delivered portfolio

Transport precincts, defence estates, cultural institutions, commercial developments, and public realm. Trusted by government clients and retained by their contractors.

Empirical

Incident evidence base

Proprietary terrorism databases, 80+ project case repository, and longitudinal performance studies. Every recommendation is grounded in empirical evidence.

Proportionate

Not just what to add: what to leave out

We use quantified risk evidence, structured attack analysis, and empirical threat data to determine where protection is justified and where it isn't. Clients consistently tell us the most valuable thing we do is rigorously demonstrate what they can defensibly leave out.

100%

Design integration

Security recommendations delivered in design language, at design decision points — so architects and landscape designers can implement them without a second interpreter. We sit in the meetings, mark up the drawings, and translate threat requirements into spatial parameters the design team can actually use.

The premise

Experience tells you what usually works. Evidence tells you when it won't.

Most protective security advice runs on experience: the last project's threat basis, the standard detail, the measure that has always worked. Experience is a good starting point. On its own, it can't tell you when the site in front of you is the exception.

So we put evidence underneath it. Proprietary incident databases, methods published under peer review, and measurement that can be re-run sit beneath the advice, so when a recommendation is questioned in a design review, a procurement gate, or an audit, the reasoning holds up.
